Scratch Education Collaborative Website Design

The Scratch Education Collaborative (SEC) currently exists as a web page that includes an SEC description, SEC vision, a list of members of the most recent SEC cohort with links to their organization’s web presence, and a contact button. Creating an SEC website will help support Scratch Foundation goals to spread creative, caring, collaborative, equitable approaches to coding and learning around the world, as well as to support the SEC mission to increase access in traditionally underrepresented communities, realign Scratch Foundation resources toward serving local organizations that support marginalized communities, and create a self-sustaining network and models for equity-centered creative computing resources. (Note: A Scratch Foundation website re-design is underway, with SEC pages being planned. This project for created for educational purposes only and is not an official website for the SEC.)

Goals for the SEC Website:

  1. Increase access to Scratch educator resources for SEC members (and other educators), and by extension Scratch learning philosophy.

  2. Increase complete applications for viable candidates to participate in the Scratch Education Collaborative.

  3. Increase Scratch Foundation revenue.
