Design for Learning

Hello, I’m Kim.

I take an intentional human-centered approach to the design of a learning experience, bringing empathy to the process as I design with the end-user in mind.

Let me tell you about myself.

I am an experienced educator and am proud to have worked with thousands of learners of various ages over the years.

As an instructional designer, I help people create impactful learning experiences. I collaborate with subject matter experts, educators, and stakeholders to ensure that learning objectives are met and that the content is engaging, interactive, and aligned with pedagogical principles.

Here are ways that I can help you.

  • Need to improve learning outcomes? I will create experiences with structured learning pathways and materials that help achieve desired outcomes.

  • Looking to motivate your learners? I will design curriculum and content and develop instructional materials that engage learners more effectively using interactive elements, multimedia resources, and varied formats to address learner needs, motivation, and interest

  • Seeking quality educational content? I can work with you to evaluate effectiveness and make improvements that will enhance the overall quality and impact of your educational content.

I am a graduate of the IDET (Instructional Design and Educational Technology) Program at Florida Gulf Coast University, where I excelled as a student. I have decades of experience as an educator, trainer, and presenter. I am a lifelong learner. Let’s work together!

I see learning as becoming.

Learning, beginning at birth and continuing throughout one’s life, is an interactive process that leads to changes in attitudes, knowledge, and behavior. Learning has the potential to change who an individual becomes, having implications for who we become as a society.
